Second Annual Decourcy Racing RAC 100 generates six times the donations from 2011 event

January 23, 2012 (Westbrook, CT) – 56 drivers race and raise over $3,200 during the Decourcy Racing's Second Annual RAC 100 at Checkered Flag Indoor Karting in Haverhill, MA.

A year ago Eric Decourcy and his family operated team, Decourcy Racing, set out on a mission to start a new fund raising activity for Racing Against Cancer^TM, the idea was indoor karting. The first event in 2011 raised over $500 with a 18 drivers and began to build a foundation for a second event. This second annual event, which raised over $3,200, generated six times the donations from 2011!

The snow and rough New England weather would not phase most drivers who entered during the weeks prior, a total of 56 drivers would take to the Checkered Flag Indoor Karting roadcourse with various backgrounds from Micro Sprints, NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Street Stocks, NEMA Midgets and the list goes on. At the end of the day it was Dan Winter claiming the bragging rights of the RAC 100 until the green flag for the Third Annual Decourcy Racing RAC 100.

Plans are already underway for the Third Annual Decourcy Racing RAC 100 which will again take place at Checkered Flag Indoor Karting in Haverhill, MA. Save the date for Saturday, January 26, 2013. More details can be found below.

HOW:$25 kart rental fee to lock you in. $150 sponsored donation's which will be due along with Driver Form January 19, 2013
There will be a $10.00 admission fee will be charged to all spectators on the day of the event which is waived for drivers.

THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL DRIVERS OVER 54" TALL. THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

DETAILS: Take to the track in the racer to fight against CANCER on Saturday Jan 26th. For $150 Sponsored donations, you will receive at least 50 laps of heart pounding racing at Checkered Flag Indoor Karting, convenietly located off exit 48 of 495. The Entry Donations includes practice and heat race. The top5 driver who raised the most will receive an extra 15 lap practice. The Final Format will be determined based on total number of drivers. Final race will include a 100 lap endurance race for the top 8 drivers.

Where your $25 goes to CFIK for the kart rental. $150 sponsored Donations goes: Directly to Racing Against Cancer, a Federally Recognized 501(c)(3) non-Profit organization dedicated to the raising of funds for cancer research, patient services, youth tabacco educational programs, and awareness. Checkered Flag Indoor Karting will be collecting the $175 and providing you with a receipt on the day of the event. There will also be a donate link on racingagainstcancer.org that your sponsors can donate to you the driver.
Checkered Flag Indoor Karting is requesting a $25 check be mailed to them to lock you in and get the driver form and sponsor sheets.
